14 months later...

Sounds like a good chapter title, right?

So 14 months later THE END has been printed on the final page of a different book. A non-dystopian book. A non-dystopian, non-vampire book. In fact it is the most grounded in reality a fiction writer who only writes fiction can get.

And I love it.

It is dark. It is twisted. It is Young Adult (of course). And it is in draft 2. Just about to send it out to some beta-readers and then to market!!

I have put The Preacher to bed. To sleep the deep and healing sleep of night. To await the death and then revival of the dystopia market.

Some day a gilded prince might ride out of a fairy-tale and breathe life back into it, revive Adam, Summer and Mack. But now they are as still as death, resting as their world further crumbles.

Excitingly - with the Preacher bound and chained there have been more whisperings, more stories coming to the fore, and I'm looking forward to trapping those stories with my net woven from the fragments of narrative, and telling them so the world can hear.
